Midlands-based commercial design, build and fit out contractor, McCarthys is on track to surpass its target turnover following a surge of new business.

The business forecast £25M turnover for FY 24-25 but has since secured £15.5M-worth of new projects – putting it on track to exceed the figure by more than 45%.

It comes after McCarthys won ten new projects, including a 28,000 sq ft CAT B fit out in Alcester with a value of £2.3m, and a 44,000 sq ft CAT B design and fit out in Leamington Spa.

McCarthys provides innovative design, build and fit out solutions for a rapidly expanding client portfolio including SEGA, BMet College, Ministry of Justice, Air Liquide, Rolls Royce and Ferrari.

Due to previous growth, the company increased the number of permanent employees in 2023 by 20%. Now, it has plans to expand its HQ in Coventry.

Steven McCarthy, managing director at McCarthys, said: “We’re heading into an exciting period of growth. This year, we’ll be expanding our HQ to accommodate a continually growing team of talented individuals that are delivering outstanding projects for clients of all sizes, from SMEs to multinationals. We’re incredibly excited for the future and are well placed to take on new opportunities in a range of sectors.”

To support further growth, the business recently underwent an extensive rebranding exercise to create a new website and visual identity, as well as a realigned company vision, mission, values and proposition statement.

Steve said: “The launch of our powerful brand refresh has been 45 years in the making. We’ve significantly grown as a business so it was crucial that our visual identity aligned with our long-established reputation. Among the changes, our commitment to clients has remained unchanged. Our brand and website are now as inspiring as the spaces we create, and we’re beyond proud of the result. “
